Hinds Community College group takes Yazoo City tour

YAZOO CITY, MS (Mississippi News Now) - A group from the Hinds Community College group "The Silver Eagles Experiencing Mississippi" took a tour of Yazoo City Wedneday.

The group made stops at Glenwood Cemetery, Tom's on Main, Ricks Memorial Library and the Triangle Cultural Center, according to the library's Facebook.

Yazoo City's newest restaurant: The Main Event

Yazoo City's newest restaurant is now open.

The Main Event is located at 310 S. Main St., and is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday-Saturday.

The full-service restaurant features live music on Friday and Saturday nights, according to the Yazoo County Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Ricks Memorial Library will host a book signing with Scooter Green featuring her book "Ituke's First Hunt" Thursday.

The signing is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m Copies will be available for purchase.
