The free event is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Triangle Cultural Center.

Stop by for free food and music and learn why travel matter to Yazoo County's economy.

Yazoo Farmers Market opens Saturday

The Yazoo Farmers Market will open Saturday in downtown Yazoo City, according Visit Yazoo.

According to the market's Facebook page, the market will have honey from Collins Honey Farm, eggs from Brown Egg Company, farm-raised prawns and catfish from Lauren Farms, hand-made chairs and gourmet sweets.

Anyone interested in selling home-grown produce or hand-made items at this farmers market, please contact Phyllis at 662-590-5415.

The new business is located next to Rite Aid in Yazoo City.

Benton Farmers Market to open Saturday

The Benton Farmers Market next to the Post Office in Benton will open for the spring Saturday.

In the spring and summer the market is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to the Yazoo County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
